Comprehensive Cosmetic Procedures

  • Tooth Whitening - Often between a good smile and a great smile is the whiteness of the teeth. By far the best and fastest whitening solutions are offered by your dentist. You can get over-the-counter whitening kits; they usually aren't as effective as professional whitening procedures. They are not custom fitted; the whitening agent may leak out and irritate your gums.

A Take Home System is offered by your dentist and they will fabricate a custom tray to hold whitening gel against your teeth. You will take the trays home and wear the gel-filled trays each night or for several hours during the day for several weeks. Your dentist can also whiten your teeth in the office. This is called Power Bleaching, Laser Bleaching or Zoom Whitening. All these techniques work equally well and are offered both as a "jump start" prior to home whitening and as a separate "stand alone" procedure.
  • Porcelain Veneers - A porcelain veneer is indicated when a portion of the front surface of the tooth that needs a "face lift". Veneers are also used to cover stains and close spaces between teeth. Veneers are attached directly to existing tooth structure.
  • Crown and Bridges - A restoration that covers all or most of the natural tooth above the gum line. A full crown is usually indicated when a tooth has had a root canal treatment, when substantial amount of tooth structure has been lost or when a tooth is cracked or broken. We place a crown on a tooth where there is no longer sufficient tooth structure left to place a filling. A Bridge spans a space where one or more teeth have been lost in the dental arch. We replace the missing teeth with custom-designed replacement teeth, which are anchored by crowns to existing healthy tooth structure. A tooth-colored crown may be made of both porcelain and metal, or, thanks to newly available technology, it maybe made entirely of porcelain.
  • White Fillings - The use of tooth colored filling material is not limited to new restoration. There are many reasons why older restorations may need replacing and we can use these newer, more esthetic materials at that time
  • Implant Restorations
  • Bite Splints - Occlusal Guard "bite splint"- When bruxism , or "grinding" of the teeth, is persistent, unconscious reflex, and orthotic, sometimes called a "splint", may be custom fitted to separate the upper and lower teeth slightly and align the bite. If an orthotic is prescribed, you may be instructed to wear it during the course of your day or only when sleeping.
  • Equilibrations - "Occlusal adjustment," reshaping the occlusal surface of the teeth to create harmonious contact relationships between the maxillary and mandibular teeth.
  • Bonding - Composite bonding is one of the most conservative, versatile and affordable ways to aesthetically restore a multitude of cosmetic problems. We treat the tooth with special enamel conditioner to roughen the enamel surface and allow the bonding material to adhere. A composite resin is then applied and shaped to match the contour of your natural tooth.
  • Dentures and Partials
  • Dentures - A removable set of artificial teeth
  • Partial Dentures - A removable partial denture could work well if several teeth are missing throughout the mouth. It fills in the spaces and restores your natural bite. Partial dentures have artificial teeth that replace the missing teeth with metal clasps that fit around the anchor teeth and hold the partial in place.
