Dental Preventative Care Services and Advice

  • Sealants - Sealants are a clear or white plastic that are placed in the grooves of the biting surface of back teeth.
  • Fluoride Treatment - When children are young and their teeth are forming, fluoride joins with the enamel surface and makes it harder and more decay-resistant. The benefits for adults are just as great. Fluoride can help repair an early cavity, even before it's become visible in the mouth, by rebuilding the enamel layer of the teeth. It also helps solve the problem of root carries or root sensitivity.

Oral Health Aids and Products

  • Fluoride Relief Desensitizing Gel - Relief Desensitizing Gel is a soothing blend of Potassium Nitrate (5%) and Fluoride (0.240%) which helps to prevent tooth decay and effectively reduce sensitivity often associated with thermal changes, tooth whitening, acids, sweets, and/or direct contact. Relief provides a choice of two distinct delivery systems. Patients may either apply it directly into their whitening tray for maximum coverage, or via a standard soft bristle toothbrush. Available in a 0.75-oz tube. Mint.
  • Oral B Triumph - Smart Technology to inspire better brushing habits and provide a higher level of clean using industry technology. A first in power tooth brushing, Oral-B Triumph comes with an onboard computer that provides:
    • Positive feedback that keeps patients motivated
    • Brushing guidance that tracks brushing time and monitors battery charge status
    • Ongoing tracking of individual brush head usage to determine wear-out (even with multiple users on one handle)

Comprehensive and Periodic Oral Exams

  • Prophylaxis - Removal of plaque, calculus and stains from the tooth structures in permanent, primary and transitional dentition. It is intended to control local irritation factors.
  • Periodontal Screening - To measure the depth of the gum pockets around the teeth and supporting tissue.
  • Air Abrasion Technology - The Air Abrasion system is a comfortable alternative. Instead of turning on a whirring drill, Dr. Seurynck provides a pair of goggles and then directs a thin, high-speed stream of air-blown microscopic particles that gently removes decay from your tooth.
